I was delighted to be asked by Catherine and Jack to design a Wedding cake for them to fit with their sophisticated, English country garden theme at the stunning Boconnoc House
Catherine requested that the cake design was inspired by roses, peonies and jasmine to reflect her bouquet and as a nod to tradition Jack requested the cake was tiered with pillars rather than stacked. The final design incorporated both ideas, with hand painted florals and small raised jasmine flowers edged with gold climbing the pillars. I loved painting this cake, it definitely had the wow factor and went beautifully in the garden marquee.
The Garden Gate Flower Company had decorated the venue with the most amazing flowers, all grown in Cornwall on their farm – there were flowers everywhere!
Catherine was kind enough to share her beautiful photos of the day with me, taken by Kerry Morgan. I think you will agree she has captured some super moments!
