I was asked by the lovely Elle from Inspire Hire to create a feature cake for a photo shoot she was organising at the beautiful Trewardale House in Blissland. Her inspiration was metallic golds and pewters and the opulence and glamour of the 1930’s. I designed and created a show-stopping cake with a pewter base covered with large, glamorous hand painted roses in browns and golds. I also took inspiration from the beautiful guilt frames adorning Trewardale’s drawing room walls and added some small edible frames to the central tier. The shoot itself was a great experience as it was the first time I have been involved in something like that. It was lovely to meet other suppliers and do a little networking! I can’t wait to get involved with more in the future!
